What’s in Blinc Stylist Ali Burks’ Bag?

Remember when StyleSheet paid a visit to Blinc to spend some quality time with stylist Ali Burks, Blinc’s general manager and buyer? It was then, among the translucent, sorbet-hued hangers and her studded booties, that I knew we had to have her in to spill her purse. I suspected the contents would be as cool as she is, and, as you can see, they are. We laid it all out on her blue snake scarf by her all-time favorite scarf line, We Are Owls. What’s in Aesthetician Renée Rouleau’s Bag?

We’re lucky to still have access to Renée Rouleau here in Dallas. The aesthetician is always en route to LA and New York to pretty the punims of celebs, but she still makes time for her Dallas clients. When she’s out of town, you can rely on her line of products to keep your skin in check. (My favorites include the Luxe Mint Cleansing Gel, the new Glow Enhancing Cream, and most recently, the Soothing Eye Makeup Remover.) She’s fun to spot at events, too, always with a matching mani and eyeshadow job and occasionally a quirky and whimsical accessory (like her pink fascinator and faux tattoo at DIFFA). I knew it would be fun to look in her bag.

Fashion lovers know Hanh Merriman as the incredibly stylish blogger from Life in Travel. Loyal readers flock to her site daily, anxious to survey her latest attire. It isn’t hard to see why. Recent ensembles have included a Margiela body suit with an Isabel Marant ruffle vest, the new Prada flame and taillight shoes, and a locally designed Nha Khanh lace top and Sue Gragg earrings. She’s a risk taker, often standing out at events for avant garde accessories and bold combinations. We were dying to know what she carries in her designer bag. Take a look.

Ashley Burghardt, former 10 Most Beautiful Women in Dallas winner, handbag designer, and now fashion designer has a lot of her plate these days between her burgeoning business and design work. It’s always a pleasure spending a few minutes with the delightful Ashard Richley founder and I enjoyed getting to chat (and a laugh a little) over the contents of her latest bag(s).

If you know of Jan Strimple, you already know why I was excited to invite her in to spill her purse. If you don’t know her as the producer behind the city’s smartest fashion shows (see StyleSheet’s photos of DIFFA, Elizabeth Anyaa, and Prashe), you may already be familiar with her as the striking (and incredibly elegant) ponytailed red head at all the city’s major fashion affairs. Like Jan, the contents of her bag are delightful and ladylike. Take a look.

I knew I wanted a little peek into her exotic world so I invited her in to spill her purse. When she showed up with her pet parrot, Tiger, I knew it wouldn’t be disappointing.

Jennifer Sampson is the new president and CEO of United Way in Dallas. With a new job, a 4-year-old son, and a recent 9-day trip to Italy on her agenda, we were thrilled she could stop by and show us what this girl-on-the-go keeps in her bag. Take a look.
