We just received some very sad news in our inbox. LFT, the 30,000 square foot department store at Victory Park, is closing. Owner, Ort Varona states, in the (very short) press release, “Due primarily to the current state of the economy and a yet to mature trade area, we have reluctantly decided to close our doors”. R.I.P. LFT. You will be missed. They will begin the liquidation process tomorrow. Be sure to stop by and shop before they close for good. Store hours will be: Monday-Saturday: 11am-8pm and Sunday: 1pm-6pm.
Are you kidding me? How sad…………
[...] good news: they’re having a sale at LFT. The bad news: it’s a going-out-of-business sale. Leave a [...]

There will be many more closings in the next 6 weeks. LFT couldn’t make it - even with Free Rent. Hillwood blew it - they were supposed build 4,000 units of housing in VP and only built 600. Of course the retailers are failing.
It sucks for the few that bought in VP. It’s only going to get worse.
so does that mean they are closing the Avalon too? VP is a disaster, with little free parking, too high end of stores, etc… bummer-
They need to hurry up and finish the Chili’s. I’m hungry!
I have been preaching for years that Victory was on the wrong path with the super-upscale approach.
Avalon will be relocated (at least the staff will), but no word on where as of yet. Will keep you posted when we find out more. As for parking, there are two large lots directly across from the shops that are free of charge for up to two hours.
Maybe this will help the developers realize Dallas ain’t Vegas and an overpriced and overhyped parking garage (all VP really is)has a shelf life along the lines of a piece of cheese.
Dallas got what it deserved by listening to men in members only jackets with comb overs.
Kenichi was incredibly saddened to learn that LFT was closing. We received word yesterday as the closing signs were going up. We have many dear friends that lost their jobs due to the difficult economic times.
However, Kenichi is still going strong seven days a week. We are so thankful for each and every guest that patronizes our establishment. We are at no risk of closing. Additionally, there is free parking in lot B and the VP parking garage.
LFT employees have asked for everyone who can afford to come to the closing sale. This will help ensure the full time staff will receive their severance packages.
LFT? Never heard of it. VP is too fru-fru. You want business there? Put up a Walmart and some free parking….lots of free parking.
[...] from 4PM- 7PM at V.O.D. Get there early and then hop over to LFT for some great deals, as the store closing (we’re still really bitter about this) sale continues, with 40%-80% off everything (but happy [...]
