Trousseau of Dallas is one of my favorite stores in Dallas. And not just lingerie store. I mean, all around favorite stores. I’ll admit it’s partially because I’m a lingerie collector. Wearing pretty underthings is a confidence booster, and it’s hard not to stockpile things that do that. Everything owner Nasrin Hormozi selects for her store is beautiful and well made. On Tuesday, April 16, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Trousseau is hosting a private champagne-laced event with Innergy, a health and wellness center in Crescent Court. It’s all about lady stuff this night, and guests will be hearing from an Innergy trainer about fitness, sample nutritious bites by Innergy Chef Troy Gardner, and get tips about finding shape-flattering swimwear from Hormozi. (She stocks killer suits, remember?) Proper bra sizing and fitting is available, too.

I could spend days in Trousseau of Dallas, marveling at all the exquisite lingerie sets. I love pretty under things. When it comes to editing a collection down to the best, owner Nasrin Hormozi has mastered it, stocking her silk and lace-filled boutique with the best lines, both well known and locally under-the-radar. This is Not Your Mother’s Bra Line

Well, it might be, as it was founded in the 80s, but Wacoal, sold in Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and other department stores, has jumped ship from its stereotype. It’s no longer only nude bras in comfy cottons, but has expanded with multiple collections, like, the “i” line with iBras, iPant shapewear, etc., the b.temt’d younger, playful collection, and the Luxe line in sexy lace trim. And here’s the thing. Bespoke Bras and Bubbly at Cicada Collection

It doesn’t matter how many times you get groped for a bra fitting at lingerie stores, nothing can beat the fit of a made-to-measure brassiere. Manager Cynthia Barnhouse of Cicada Collection is hosting a little fete (with champagne and hors d’oeuvres) so you can be measured like a starlet and order a customized bra. Fit specialist Bridget Mackey will take ten measurements to find the perfect fitting bra. Customization includes fabric (soft lace or smooth cup), strap width, and more, and eight weeks later your new underpinnings will arrive. Prices start at $85.  This two-hour feminine affair happens on Wednesday, June 6 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Cicada in Snider Plaza, but RSVP to reserve a spot at cynthia@cicadacollection.com.
