We just talked about Kira Plastinina, Russian fashion designer and SMU girl, opening her first Lublu boutique here in Dallas this spring. I mentioned her florid spring collection, full of color (notably her neon yellow floor-length frock), but her autumn collection tops it. The fall 2013 campaign was shot by Tommy Ton, famous street style photographer, and features our own Jessica Olssen Nowitzki, Goss-Michael Foundation associate director and wife of Dirk Nowitzki. Also, making an appearance is beloved Man Repeller, Leandra Medine, in a print I’m head-over-heels in love with. I need that full, striped floral print skirt.

The weather is finally starting to cool down and that means it’s time to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. A great tool to help with transitioning is a vest, which will keep you warm while still looking fashionable. We love these faux fur vests, which will be a staple for both your fall and winter wadrobes. For now, layer it over a tank-top or long dress and when it’s chilly layer it over a jacket, turtle neck, or dress and leggings. –Margaux Anbouba

I’ve stopped working so that I can continue to examine, swoon, and sigh over the fall collection of local designer Nha Khanh. The ladylike-meets-industrial vibe, the sheer sleeves, leather details, tailoring… I just can’t concentrate on anything else.

I bet it’s even more delicious in person, so perhaps I’ll head to Stanley Korshak, where it all lives for the season.

Deep, wine-stained reds made their way down the fall 2012 runways of dozens of designers. Whether it was a head-to-toe look (like Yigal Azrouël’s) or a tailored, belted dress (like Jason Wu’s) or a sheer caped frock (like Christian Siriano’s), the vampy autumn hue is a hit. I love the look in skinny leg denim. Three local picks below:

The thing I love most about the end of August (next to summer sales and my birthday–which is Thursday, thank you) is watching all the racks full of black, gray, and dark jewel-toned sweaters, blazers, and leggings roll onto shop floors. Right now, I’m imagining sporting a tailored blazer, dark skinny leg denim, the perfect pump, and that colorful statement jeweled necklace by Iosselliani.

Kelly Wearstler’s making an appearance at Forty Five Ten this evening to celebrate the boutique becoming the third location for shopping her home collection. (Wearstler’s flagship store and Bergdorf Goodman are the other two.) If you weren’t invited to the private affair, don’t stress, you’ll soon be able to shop the line with wild abandon. You can also preview and pre-order her fall RTW collection this weekend, so stop in between Thursday and Saturday to admire the bold prints, medley of textures, and blazing colors, all in a nod to the 80s.
