Leaving only their outlet shops behind, Saks Fifth Avenue is closing their Dallas Galleria doors in June. In its place we’ll gain a cheaper department store, Belk. Hm. The Dallas Morning News has more information. If you want it.

I find it really sad and pathetic that a city the size of Dallas where shopping is sport, can’t support these luxury retailers.

This news is at least 2 weeks old. Is it that hard to cover the shopping “beat” at D?!?!

Sorry, just looked at the link. DMN ran the story on January 29th and WWD covered it at the same time or a day earlier. Maybe you should spring for a WWD subscription?
