If you haven’t heard (or weren’t invited), the Omega luxury watch store grand opening at NorthPark was a smashing success, according to Jeanne Prejean, packed to the brim with people who can more likely afford these high-end wrist pieces than I can. Glenn Hunter, the executive editor of D CEO, snagged an interview with Omega CEO Stephen Urquhart who was in town for the festivities.
From Glenn:
The president and CEO of Omega, the Swiss luxury watch company, was in Dallas Tuesday to open the brand’s new Omega Boutique at NorthPark Center. Stephen Urquhart told us that the 1,308-square-foot store, which will offer the brand’s entire selection of products, is Omega’s second retail boutique in Texas. A Houston boutique opened earlier, he said, and a third Texas store may open in San Antonio by June. “Dallas is a very upscale market,” he said, before snipping a ribbon during a well-attended cocktail party at the NorthPark store. The CEO later hosted a private dinner at Abacus for the North Texas Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids program, its local charity of choice. Omega, a division of the Swatch Group, has forged marketing partnerships over the years with such iconic groups as NASA, the Olympic Games, and the PGA, and with actors like Daniel Craig and George Clooney.

You will all recall this delightful discovery of the Emy Mack shoe line, right? Well, the SMU grad-designed shoes landed on the feet of Jane Aldridge on Sea of Shoes yesterday.
I’m a proud owner, as well, thanks to Emy Mack, and truly, not only are they gorgeous to look at, with their flawless seams, silver bottoms, and ladylike ornamentation, but they’re comfortable, too. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll get a storefront or pop-up boutique, but for now, shop the current fall/winter collection at emymack.com.
