Pardon the terrible photo, but if you’re on the hunt for great swimwear, here’s another thought: Stanley Korshak. Check out this Missoni two-piece set.
I love this “quirky” look Mischa Barton’s sporting today on Who What Wear’s blog. I scrolled slowly down the outfit. Bugs, love ‘em. Pleated skirt, so in style. And then BOOM. Those gorgeous Charlotte Olympia pumps. Just shot a similar pair myself at Forty Five Ten. The pretty girls above are hanging out at the boutique, just waiting for a loving home.
If you’re anyone who’s anyone you know that Morgan Gianni, owner of Fashion Optical, is your go-to guy for eyewear. (Confession: I didn’t actually know this until someone “in-the-know” told me. So now you know, too.) Yes, he carries all the luxe lines: D&G, Tom Ford, etc., but it’s his skill in matching clients to their perfect frames that makes him a star. (It doesn’t hurt that he’s sweet as sugar and impeccably dressed at all times, either.) A roster of Dallas celeb-types shop with him (Abi Ferrin, the Simmons gals, and Jan Strimple, for a little name-dropping), and his shades are often used in photo shoots and runway shows. If all that wasn’t enough, he’s now designed his own line of sunglasses which will be launched in the next couple weeks. The line is called M. Gianni. Kristin and I had the privilege of playing dress-up with his new shades yesterday morning, and we’re loving the upcoming accessories. Get your own sneak peek of M. Gianni, and check out photos after the jump.
I’ve raved about beauty line Le Métier de Beauté before, and I’m loving the opportunity to give some extra special products away. I’m giving away two set of the the lip gloss pair above in Atlantis Sunset, a coral “sheer brilliance,” and Sweet Abigail, a pink “lip creme.” These glosses were created by two Dallas Metiér makeup artists and are being sold exclusively in town. Linda Glove chose the pink and named it after her niece, Abigail. Johanna Uek named her pick after a beach memory. (Johanna’s son, Zach, is going blind and in an effort to show him beauty he may not be able to see in the future, the family took a vacation to the Bahamas recently. The coral gloss is named for those sunsets.) Each gloss retails for $36, but two lucky winners will win both both colors. I’ve had the opportunity to play with both, and they’re amazing; maybe even more beautiful layered together. To enter to win these, click here.
