This weather is confusing. The calendar tells me it’s winter, so I dress in black tights and boots and dark colors. But then you walk outside and its gorgeous! So then I want to lose the tights—until I realize how deathly pale my legs are. (No one wants to see that.) Well, if I’ve learned anything on this job it’s that the sun is the devil, so I guess I’ll have to learn to love the spray tan. And the Spa at the Crescent is one a few locations in Dallas that has the St. Tropez tanning booth, which uses soft spray technology for natural golden glow and a fan-based venting system that extracts the overspray. (Does that word remind anyone else of the scene in Bridget Jones’s Diary when her mom is demonstrating that egg thingy?) And, for a limited time, guests will receive pricing usually reserved for members. The 80-minute “A Summer Glow” package includes a full body scrub; a scalp, hand and foot massage with reflexology; and an airbrush tan for $140. The 50-minute “Spa Tan” includes exfoliation treatment and airbrush tan for $100. Or a single spray tan experience is $50.
It is great for us, especially working people that are extremely exposed to sunlight to take some spray tan for skin to have a natural, beautiful skin and this is a great alternative for you. The tans may be purchased individually or in packages, but either way you will surely enjoy the healthy glow of the Bronze Biologic Spray on tan.
[...] Jennifer’s right. Now’s the time to get back in the bronze swing of things. But testing sunless tanners at home is a dangerous game. If you’ve ever had a mishap, you know what I mean. There’s nothing cute about looking like you rubbed Cheetos between your fingers. Ew. But I think I found a winner. Xen-Tan’s 2009 products are, so far, the best tanners I’ve tried. Nice smell? Check. Nice texture? Check. Nice color? Check. I’m currently using three of the Xen-Tan products: Transform Daily Moisturizer, Deep Bronze Luxe, and Face Tanner Luxe. Side note: I used these products for a while, and then took a break to get spray-tanned before a wedding. And honestly, I should have stuck with the Xen-Tan. The VersaSpa tan made me spotty and funky-colored. The Transform daily moisturizer is perfect for every day use. (And it’s not like the kind that you apply every day and then 10 bottles later realize it never made a difference.) It creates subtle color you can actually see. The Deep Bronze Luxe acts a quick burst of color that’s natural and never orange. The Face Tanner Luxe does the same for face, but it’s also a really nice-feeling moisturizer. Overall, you get a nice, even tan that’s natural looking—more olive than orange—but still golden-goddess-ish. The products are inexpensive, too, at $20 to $40 at Nordstrom or nordstrom.com.
