My New Favorite Hand Cream

Because I have a mild case of germophobia, I wash my hands approximately 1 billion times a day. Besides wasting water, this habit also seriously dries out my skin, especially in the winter. I slather on hand lotion, but it just doesn’t help. Or, it doesn’t help for long, anyway. Until now. I am happy to report that I have finally found a hand cream that keeps my skin hydrated—even through a hand-washing. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream is the magic potion, and I haven’t stopped using it since the first day I dipped my dry, cracked fingers into the tub. It’s also fragrance-free, which means I don’t walk around smelling like an oatmeal cookie or a flower garden, and you can get it at your favorite major drugstore or retail chain. ($13.49 at CVS.com.) And, in case you didn’t know, Cetaphil is made by Fort Worth-based Galderma.

I heart Cetaphil products! The facewash for dry skin has been my go-to wash for years after trying everything else in the world.

I keep a pot of this at my desk, but the other miracle of science I have on me at all times is Aquaphor. Perfect for lips, cuticles and uber dry hands. I also put it on my face before I fly and upon landing have zero dryness and my face feels amazing.

this is the most fabulous cream… Cetaphil..all of it.. I just finished chemo and I still have (old) but soft skin…it’s a miracle cream.. i put it on every time I pass the dresser…. good good stuff… I also got it at Sam’s Club on Park Lane for $10. there was a nice lady “hawking it” and I said I’ll take 4 of those… she said “great I can go home now, I just made my quota” had to laugh… but it’s good stuff.

I’ve been using this for months since my good friend in LA sent me home with a tub!
