One of our favorite local haunts, Stanley Korshak recently launched their new website, introducing online shopping. Browse and purchase a selection of jewelry, gifts, home decor, handbags, luggage, and cosmetics at any time of day from anywhere. Seeing as the store only stays open until 6 P.M. everyday, I am sure many Korshak customers are rejoicing. Lines available for purchase online include Yossi Harari, Ted Muehling, Loree Rodkin, Nambe, Baccarat, Agraria, COR, Niven Morgan, Bottega Veneta, Beirn, Jada Loveless, and even some one-of-a-kind items like this Ethiopian Festival Mask. Also find seasonal trends, wedding dress previews, and more. Happy shopping.
As you may have read in her blog, Rhonda recently experienced the new Lift facial at Exhale. I too, tried it and had similar results - smooth, glowing skin. During this facial, the esthetician uses a metal tool that feels like a pair of tongs with a little ball on each end. I was completely relaxed as she gently swept it across my skin, and although Rhonda said she felt little tingles, I didn’t. But when the “tongs” were used on my chin I could definitely taste metal in my mouth. It didn’t last long though and it wasn’t even uncomfortable, just a little odd. Don’t let the $195 price tag scare you off, especially if you have a special occasion coming up. It definitely makes an immediate difference. I was lookin’ good. Yea, I said it. And I was!
In celebration of Partners Card week, which Sarah already told you about, Occhiali Modern Optics is holding four trunk shows of fabulous designer eyewear. Today until 5 p.m.—you still have a few hours!—check out the complete collections from David Yurman and Alain Mikli. Then tomorrow from 11 am to 5 pm, it’s Tom Ford and Cavalli. A highlight for Saturday’s show: the Tom Ford 007 sunglasses worn by Daniel Craig in the new James Bond flick Quantum of Solace. I’ve never seen a James Bond movie in my life, and I have no idea what “quantum of solace” means, but Daniel Craig? I know about him. Uh huh, I sure do.

Besides making money, the two guys behind New York-based online retailer Bonobos have one main goal: to provide men with “awesome-fitting pants.” You can read more about their story here, but basically these fellas were tired of retail shopping and tired of not being able to find pants that fit them properly. So they started their own business. Their stuff looks pretty snazzy, and the founders are awful cute, too, so I must say I’m a new fan. But just so you know, no matter how you dress them up, boys are still boys. Bonobos is named after the bonobo, a type of chimpanzee, and, as designer Brian Spaly told one reporter, “It’s known to be the most sexually promiscuous animal in the animal kingdom.” Uh, awesome?
It’s that special time of year we all look forward to. No, not Halloween, or Daylight Savings Time (although honestly, I do enjoy falling back). It’s Partners Card week, and if you haven’t purchased yours yet, you’d better getcha one. This is the 16th year for the PC, and this year, they’ve added places like Craft restaurant, The Mansion, Juicy Couture, Carolina Herrera, and Papyrus. You get the card for $60, and then you get 20% discounts literally all over the city (it’s really tough to find places that don’t participate), and proceeds benefit the Family Place. I was at the Spa at the Crescent yesterday, and they also accept Partners Card, for example.
Some of my uber-organized friends get all their holiday shopping done using this card. So get going. You’ve got from today until November 2 to maximize your holiday savings. Oh–you can buy them at Tom Thumb stores and tons of other participiating retailers.
